Valor Mortis demo is live — release date and what to expect
Valor Mortis, the first-person soulslike from One More Level (Ghostrunner), currently has a playable Steam demo and a confirmed launch date of October 13, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Why the date moved
The game was previously lined up for late September. The team shifted the window to mid-October to avoid a crowded release week and to keep polishing combat based on demo feedback.
What the demo is for
Use the demo to check:
- whether first-person parry / dodge combat clicks for you
- performance on your PC (the demo lists fairly high minimum specs and requires an SSD)
- whether the Napoleonic horror setting holds your attention for a full playthrough
